SONG SELECTION

 

I selected A.R. Rahman's Challa for my A2 music video due to its strong theme of self-discovery and poetic, reflective lyrics. The song elegantly captures the path of a wanderer in search of meaning, which gives my video a solid narrative basis.

The blend of punjabi folk  with contemporary music forms an energetic and emotive soundscape, enabling me to experiment with a range of visual aesthetics and narrative approaches. The lyrics, particularly "Challa ki labhda phire?" (What is Challa looking for?), are strongly emotive, making it a compelling and endearing option.

With its energy, depth, and cinematic potential, Challa is the perfect song to bring my creative vision to life.
